By using the "Amal" platform, women from rural and urban areas promote and sell their products and services locally and internationally. Our platform also contributes to the education of women of all ages to lead to their emancipation and their participation to the economy of their country or even worldwide.
Our pitch:
In order to answer the challenge question, we want to set up a platform called AMAL. AMAL is a female arabic first name. So on the one hand, it highlights the priority of our project: women. And on the other hand, AMAL in arabic means HOPE. Therefore, this name exactly reflects the spirit of our project: a hope for all women to be independant and make their true value known. Today we live in a world where productions are impersonal and automatic. We want to bring more exposure to the manual work of millions of women. AMAL also aims to provide services and promote education for all.
Amal is divided into 3 categories:
1/AMAL PRODUCTS:
1.1-Amal Alimentary
1.2-Amal Cosmetics
1.3-Amal Objects
->They are handmade and locally made products thanks to the local resources available.
2/AMAL SERVICES:
This project concerns women wishing to offer their services in various fields.
3/AMAL EDUCATION:
This project will be realized only in the presence of the necessary funds. It aims to teach illiterate women to read, write and count, so they can use the platform independently of anyone else. Finally, Amal Education wants to connect young girls who can not afford it, but who have demonstrated their skills, with sponsors and international organizations to award them with scholarships for the purpose of continuing their studies and access more opportunities.
Thus, through technology, Amal can help women and girls from different socioeconomic backgrounds to participate in the economy, according to their abilities, their needs and of course their interest. Indeed, the aim of this platform is to make these young women realize their true potentials and values, and give them the opportunity to exploit it.
The problem:
Women face many obstacles when wanting to gain money or be an entrepreneur : they might not be aware of their true potential, get enough support,be illiterate or simply just not knowing how to start.We want to give the opportunity to women who do not have access to electronic devices and an internet connexion to be able to get in touch with reliable and legitimate people from all around the world. That way, they will not miss any more opportunities and will know they are supported whether because buyers like their products or because they deserve a scholarship.
Why our solution will solve the problem:
Our solution was conceived for all women: it provides a solution for girls wishing for education, for women who want to promote their products, for those who do not want to rely on men or relatives anymore, or for those who simply want to make a profit. Technology will be the bridge between them and whatever their goal is. It will be the intermediary between them and buyers and portal to access knowledge and education for example.

-Get a little more independence
-Reverse stereotypes that women do not need to have education because they would not be able to manage their own business
Women of all ages can take part in this process. For those who already have access to an Internet connection, they will simply register on the platform to automatically benefit from the platform. For those who can not, smartphones with an internet connection will be provided to them.

Why our solution is unique:
Our solution is innovative because it is not just about setting up a platform to earn profits, but it intends to reinvest this money in the field of education. "Amal" evolves over time and adapts itself to the geographical area, the people, their skills, financial constraints ... We do not want to stigmatize men but it is important to give this opportunity to women exclusively at first. Our platform will be as intuitive and visual as possible and will be equipped with a voice help to guide women in need.
Why our solution is human-centered:
AMAL was created for women and has no other purpose than simply giving to those women the key to be able to make a change on their own. We believe it is by analyzing the needs of a population and responding to them that great changes can be made.
AMAL will be available in Arabic, French and English . It will benefit a simple, purified and visually speaking interface so that even illiterate women can use the platform without too many difficulties. In case of a problem, a voice help will guide them through the platform.
How people will access our solution:
AMAL is a platform available as a Website and as a phone Application all over the world. Registration and use of both services will be free and accessible to all. For people who do not own a smartphone or internet connection, it is planned to offer them a smartphone with an internet connection or set up spaces locally where they can access the network. We will first start with a small group of a rural area and if it works, expand our actions. It is through the social networks and advertisements that we hope to make known our platform.

The beginning of the project is the hardest part since we have to convince organizations to sponsor us even if we have not yet built anything concrete but we believe in the potential of our project and we will manage to convince them.
The access to our platform is free because as we already said, we created AMAL for women.Our goal is to earn just enough money in order to keep the platform alive and to expand it to make the second part of our project AMAL Education a reality.
Once we get sponsors to provide to the women in need smartphones and internet connection, we will get money by:
- Firstly, as soon as women will start making profits, taking a small percentage of their income to reinject in the company.
- Secondly, generating profits through advertisements that will be removable by using a premium account.
The factors limiting our success:
The main problem we could face is financial: if no one believes in our project or if funds are not needed, our actions will be limited. Many women will not be able to receive smartphones as well as an internet connection necessary to advance the project.
We do not see why this project wouldn't work, the needs of women are real, their skills are real, the gain is real.

Why we're applying to Solve:
-Solve is the opportunity for us to be confronted to an objective, external, critical and expert outlook. We hope to identify the weaknesses of our projects but also its strengths that must be developed.
-Finally, it is obvious that Solve, because of its great notoriety would allow us to gain a certain exposure and to open ourselves to a new circle of contacts and knowledge related to our field.
