The 21st century has been characterized by the changes in the world's dynamics specially by the technology development, and its implications. One of them is how it affects the labour market in the sense that artificial intelligence and machines are becoming able to do many manual work previously done by people. A second implication is the emergence of jobs that didn't exist. These changes and its implication are requiring the rethinking of the current education model, and how can people be prepared for these changes that have just begun, knowing that technical skills not enough anymore for one to get a job position. The soft skills are been increasingly demanded by the labour market and life, and the education system is not yet prepared to keep up with these challenges in the same pace they are being required. Because of that, people are getting into the market not qualified enough, making a gap between what is learned, and what is being demanded. For that Tamboro has developed an online platform with courses for the development of soft skills, such as communication, creativity, and problem solving. Our goal is to help people be well prepared to face today's and tomorrow's challenge by developing skills that is getting more and more important in the 21st century cenario. Besides the online courses, we also do recruitment processes based on the candidates' soft skills, that is, our online championship evaluates each candidate by the performance in soft skills challenges. With that we have created a recruitment process that doesn't show who the person is until the end. So first it is learned the skills, and than who the person is.

What makes our solution innovative:

Tamboro's solution is unique because we have created algorithms able to evaluate one's proficiency level in their soft skills. Besides that, our online courses have different kinds of peer work activities. So, regardless the courses, the users are interacting with each other and practicing collaborativeness online. We it comes to recruitment processes, Tamboro has created online championships, in which the candidates not only are part of the process, but they are also developing their skills throughout the activities. Moreover, we have made the process more democratic, once the identity of the candidate can be only revealed after the skills' evaluation.

How technology is integral to our solution:

Technology is the core of Tamboro's solution. Our platform is 100% online, and our soft skills evaluation process is based on advanced algorithms. This innovative process includes profile and skill analysis from the users' interaction on the platform, and different levels in a proficiency scale. Intelligent algorithms cross-reference users' data and show how they are performing in each skill. Throughout the experience, the platform updates the performance status, and guides the users to have the best result they can have. Once the courses are finished, the users receive a proficiency certificate showing their evolution through data.  




Our solution goals over the next 12 months:

Tamboro's goal for the next 12 months is to have 12 courses available online (today we have 3, and 6 in production). For that we are looking for partnership with national and international specialists to help us build those courses. Increase our users database by investing in marketing and communication, making Tamboro known not only in Brazil, but abroad as well. Another goal is to increase our team as more customers are coming in, specially people for customer service and IT to improve the platform's features. With all that we have the goal to start impacting abroad. 

Our vision over the next three to five years to grow and scale our solution to affect the lives of more people:

Over the next three to five years we vision to have a solid position in the Brazilian market, that means, be a reference in soft skills development and evaluation. Within that, we plan to scale globally, starting in South America and Africa. By having an 100% online, and translatable solution, our goal to scale globally is very sustainable. Besides that, we are looking for expanding our office into the USA specially to increase our research in algorithms, and innovative methodology.

Tamboro's solution is accessible by computer and mobile, that makes it easily accessible by anyone with an internet connection. We have been reaching our customers through contact with companies, social media investment, and partnership with other companies, and organization. Our solution is deployed by licence sales, and after we keep in touch with our customers to give them support with whatever is needed.

How many people we are currently serving with our solution:

Among your clients we have around 60k people registered in our platform. These people are developing their skills for their personal, and professional lives. They are divided into university students developing their soft skills (such as identity, collaboration, diversity, etc) to have a better start in the job market, and help them decide which way to go. Besides, we have consultants of a beauty company developing skills (women rights, facing the community, facing education, creativity, etc) more focused in their personal and community lives. Moreover, we have users from other customers also developing their soft skills.

How many people we will be serving with our solution in the 12 months and the next 3 years:

Today we have around 60k people served with our solution. In 12 months we expect to have around 800k, and in 3 years 2mm. Our plan is to reach especially young people who are starting their lives in the labour market, helping them develop themselves, and their ability to keep life long learning goals, in order to have a better role, and engagement in their professional and personal lives. Within that we expect to see better educated people helping to improve their countries economy and society.

Besides our team's hard skills, we have resilient, collaborative, creative, and proactive people willing to help Tamboro become a reference in soft skills development.

Our revenue model:

Tamboro's revenue model is based on retail sale of our online courses. Besides that, we sell our courses as corporate training and recruitment processes to companies. For that, the companies can have the platform customized according to its reality, and needs. Comapnies can also sponsor online recruitment championships, focusing on the development of young professionals, and highlighting the best ones. We are positioned for long-term sustainability, and expansion because we have an online platform, accessible to anyone with internet conection, and translatable to any language. More, our courses don't have prerequisites, making it even more accessible.
