Position Overview
Program staff play a crucial role in implementing MIT Solve's open innovation Challenges across our impact areas. This position supports the execution of the processes, communications, events, and workshops, helping to source, select, and support high-impact innovators from around the world.
This is a full-time position that will work on programs in any of Solve’s programmatic areas, with an emphasis on health-related programs. This role will report to the Program Lead, Health and support on internal or ad-hoc projects as needed.

Staff are encouraged to work on the MIT campus but may work remotely from within the US on a regular basis
In-person attendance is required for specific events throughout the year
Presence in Cambridge, MA is required for four weeks annually, plus at least one week during onboarding.
Responsibilities
Program Implementation
Coordinates and performs day-to-day operational activities for Solve Programs throughout the year, working across Solve’s content areas to:
Research background sources and current innovation efforts for upcoming challenge topics.
Customize Challenge promotion plans based on program target topics and geographies, research aligned organizations and innovators for outreach.
Screen and review Challenge submissions against established criteria.
Plan and implement finalist preparation and support, including drafting preparatory materials, coordinating communication and deliverables, and supporting virtual and in-person pitch events.
Participate in the development of judging panels, including research and follow-up communications.
Create and update documents across the program cycle and coordinate meetings for relevant stakeholders, including kickoff meetings, timelines, session planning, etc.
Establish timelines and action steps and coordinate detailed project tracking via Asana workplans
Perform legal and reputational vetting for contacts across the Solve community, including innovators, judges, and speakers.
Participate in the planning, programming, and delivery of Challenge-related sessions atSolve’s flagship events, including logistics and preparation for selected innovators to attend.
Liaise with the Operations and Finance team to ensure that funding is disbursed to selected innovators.
Coordinate planning for the support programming for selected innovators, particularly Health Solver teams, including by scheduling cohort meetups, researching bespoke introductions to sector-specific experts, coordinating event logistics, and arranging speaking opportunities.
May have simultaneous responsibilities across multiple programs or projects.
Data Management
Maintain and update Salesforce database records
Assist Program Leads and Officers with tracking, monitoring and program evaluation for assigned Challenges
Participate in cross-team initiatives to strengthen Solve’s internal operations, systems, and processes
Qualifications and Skills
MINIMUM REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s degree required
Minimum 2 years of administrative and/or project/program management experience required.
Note: Directly related experience may include co-ops or internships in administrative or project management positions. Relevant experience may also be credited from work (including seasonal and part-time) or volunteering in other areas with transferrable knowledge and skills.
Able to plan work efficiently to meet deadlines across multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
Flexible, able to work independently and take initiative

The minimum pay for this position is $62,000, with a final offer based on experience and equity considerations.
This is a full-time position. Solve team members are expected to spend four weeks a year in Solve’s Cambridge offices, plus a week during the first month for onboarding. As an MIT Solve employee, you are eligible for a number of benefits, perks, and discounts, including:
